We had a family room for 3 of us (parent and 2 grown children). It clearly was aimed at smaller children, but my kids liked the enormous llama toy! The pull-out sofa was surprisingly comfy according to my son and there was still sufficient space in the room for us to move around comfortably. The hotel location is a little out of the way but easy to get to the metro which will take you anywhere. We enjoyed walking up through Chinatown. And there are loads of small eateries, cafes and bars just a short walk away. Breakfast provided a good selection. It could be a little busy, but most items were restocked very quickly and the wait staff were really kind and helpful.

Overall, staff were very friendly and helpful, except for when I needed to sort my luggage and sat on chair/lounge near reception window. I didn't even realise it was a cafe and was told by the woman I needed to move at least twice if I wasn't buying anything. There was no-one else sitting on any of the seats so I was not preventing anyone from eating at the cafe and as a paying guest of the hotel it was not very welcoming. Rooms were quite spacious and bed was very comfortable. Restaurant provided a great range of dishes for breakfast. Transport (buses and MRT) very close by to access places of interest in Singapore.

The tea section, featuring tea from Raffles Lighthouse, was our favorite because of the various options offered. The staff at Cafe 2000 was friendly and the outdoor dining had a good view of the neighbourhood. The hotel is located in a great spot - there is a bus station opposite the entrance, and an MRT station in walking distance. A 7-Eleven and a 24-hour McDonald's is also a few metres away.

Great hotel for a 2 night stay, within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, China Town (15 mins) and other key attractions (30 mins). Our room was large and well maintained. Bed was comfortable with quality sheets and pillows, giving us a good nights sleep. Staff were polite, if not friendly. Breakfast was incredible, with a huge choice of items to suit any appetite and taste. One of the best we've had in a while.
